Joseph Stone, affectionately known as Grandpa Joe by family and friends alike, is a former attorney and full-time troublemaker.   He enjoys telling tall tales, eating good food and drinking fine wine. His favorite things include spending time with his three grandchildren and watching most any sporting event.

Joe proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II where his claim to fame was receiving a letter during the war addressed to “Bullshit Stone US Navy.” Somehow, the story goes, the letter got from Detroit to his Navy address in 1945.

Joe graduated from the University of Michigan and does not like Ohio State!  A life-long Jets fan, Joe loves attending tailgate parties and home games with his family, some of whom are also suffering Jets fans. Joe is an avid reader who enjoys talking with others about books.

A true New Yorker, Joe is still on the fence about Connecticut, but he is looking forward to getting to know everyone here at the Mews!
