A look at the life of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, a tragic figure in the history of art. Crippled by an ill-proportioned body, he lived for just thirty six years. Living in Paris his dissolute life was spent in brothels and night clubs, providing him with the subject matter of his finest works. His radical, boldly colored paintings and posters of the famous Moulin Rouge nightclub convey the unique feeling and energy of contemporary Parisian nightlife in the 19th century.
