Meet ROSWELL CURTIS

Ros Curtis was born in Lenox Massachusetts on March 6, 1924. He moved to Greenwich with his family in 1934, where his father, Roswell Curtis Sr., ran the Maples Hotel. Ros attended the Brunswick School and later Yale University where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. Prior to finishing at Yale, Ros served in World War II as a pilot in the 529th Squadron stationed in China.

Ros started and ended his career with American Felt Company, serving as plant manager and later as VP of product development. He retired in 1993.

Married to his late wife Angela for 67 years, they lived in Greenwich CT raising 3 boys and 5 grandchildren. In retirement, Ros served as Commodore of the Indian Yacht Club and for years as Town Representative in Greenwich. Until 3 years ago, Ros also served as President of the Board for Merry Go Round Inc. (dba The Mews) at which time he decided to reside at The Mews.
