I was born and spent my early years in White Plains before moving away from there, attending high school and college in Greensboro NC. While later working in New York City, I met and married my husband, then moved to Greenwich in 1949. We lived in our house on Cat Rock Road in Cos Cob for 68 years, raising our three children while also blending my husband’s three existing children into our family. I more recently moved to central Greenwich, and now the Mews.
As parents we supported and enjoyed our children’s participation in the Greenwich School system literary, musical and sports programs. We enjoyed the Greenwich beaches, parks, and town events, including a small boat we used on Long Island sound. During my time in Cos Cob, I loved landscaping and gardening our property. Sewing has been a lifelong avocation. I have been involved in the Greenwich community, volunteering for 50+ years at Greenwich Hospital and in many capacities as a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich (FCPG). A lover of music, I have been a regular subscriber to the Metropolitan Opera and the Greenwich Philharmonic.
My husband and I enjoyed world travel, personally and in concert with the international conventions he attended as an airline executive.
I continue to enjoy participating in the programs at FCPG as well as spending time with my many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
